Contribute to provide early learning opportunities, after school programs, and nutritious meals to children in your neighborhood.
Your vote on November 6 mattered to us!
If your voted "YES" for the Allegheny County Children's Fund, we can assure you that you can still support early learning opportunities, after school programs, and nutritious meals.
Children served in our therapeutic preschool benefit from social and emotional learning on a daily basis. Approximately 88% of our students promote to traditional kindergarten after two years of therapeutic preschool.
And if you voted "NO," maybe you weren't sure where your money would go. Or maybe you didn't want to be subject to another tax. We promise you that your donation to Family Resources is not only tax-deductible, but we can account for every dollar you send.
But don't just take our word for it. Look at the numbers:
On a daily average, we provide nutritious meals to 351 kids, age 5-17, at the public housing sites with a BJWL Out of School Time program.
We keep them safe after school. Juvenile crime triples during the hours between 3 pm and 6 pm.
In the 2017-2018 school year, 73% of preschoolers improved in the area of sharing and cooperative play.
Of our BJWL kids last year, 71% decreased in aggressive and disruptive behaviors. 55% improved in social and emotional competence.
This time of year, when so many of us have many reasons to be thankful, please respond to the needs of the children in your neighborhood who may not have as many blessings.
